Osasuna to beat Elche @ 19/20
Jagoba Arrasate’s side are enjoying a solid second half to the season, with last Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Villarreal being their fifth win in 11 La Liga outings. The only three defeats during that time have come against top-six outfits in Real Betis, Sevilla and Barcelona. Elche have slipped down into the bottom three following a poor run of results which has yielded just two points from five games, with last weekend’s 3-1 defeat at Huesca compounding their relegation concerns.
Alaves and Huesca to draw @ 21/10
Huesca have boosted their survival hopes with back-to-back wins over Levante and Elche, climbing just above the drop zone as a result. The visitors may now settle for sharing the spoils with second-from-bottom Alaves in what promises to be a cagey relegation battle. The hosts have gone eight games without a win but have drawn two of their last four fixtures, so we’re eyeing another stalemate here in our La Liga predictions.
Real Madrid to win at Getafe @ 13/20
Los Merengues continued their good run of form when holding out for a goalless stalemate at Liverpool on Wednesday to reach the Champions League semi-finals. Real had previously edged out Barcelona 2-1 in El Clasico to make it eight wins and two draws during a 10-match unbeaten run in La Liga and they are now just a point behind faltering neighbours Atletico at the top of the table. Getafe have only won one in 12 and are easy to oppose here.
